Adding to a link list or blogroll

If you have a list of links on your site, such as list of resources or a blogroll, it’s easy to add additional links. Just follow this instructions below, or watch the screencast.

  1. Go to the links tab
  2. Enter the title for the link, such as the name of the site (this will normally be the linked text in your list)
  3. Enter a number if you wish to control the sort order, otherwise it will sort alphabetically. Your site can also be set up to sort by date, category, or even randomly.
  4. Enter the full url, including the http://
  5. Select the appropriate category (you can add link categories on the Categories tab)
  6. Type a description (this will normally appear as a tooltip on the link)

Your description should give extra information to the user about the page or site that is being linked to.

Uses for the Links tab

There are a lot of different kinds of links you can manage with the Links tab:

  • Helpful/useful resources for your readers
  • Recommended sites
  • Other blogs you like
  • Affiliate links
  • Social media links (such as your Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn accounts)
  • Links to other sites you’re involved with
