Firefox Add-on: Word Count Plus
A recent conversation with Sue Anderson of Simplified Living Solutions led me to wonder what the easiest way might be to track word count when writing blog posts. Turns out there is a handy Firefox Add-On that does the job beautifully.
Word Count Plus is barely noticeable once installed, but if you highlight any portion of text on a web page (to highlight all the text you’ve entered in a form field, put your cursor in the field and pres command-A), and click its icon in the status bar, it will display word count of that text.
The hundreds of useful add-ons are just another reason to love Firefox, and I plan on highlighting some others in the future.
