More offline advertising options

I wrote quite a while ago about promoting your website offline. Since then, I’ve had experience with a number of vendors in this category, so I thought I’d share.

Mugs

I recently ordered some custom cafe mugs for Mediations. Westford China had somewhat spotty customer service, but the product is great quality at a good price.

Tire covers

If you have a Jeep or other car with a spare tire, a custom tire cover is a great place to advertise. Sign-a-rama has locations all over, and they make all manner of banners and signs, including decals for tire covers.

One-off t-shirts, hats, etc.

Zazzle.com and CafePress.com both allow you to design and buy custom t-shirts and other types of merchandise. You can upload your logo or other image files.

Rubber stamps

I’m very pleased with the custom rubber stamp I received from The Stampin’ Place. Their customer service was excellent, and they provided one digital proof free of charge. You might consider getting a stamp of a one-color version of your logo, and/or your tag line or url.

Nora, how fun to see my spare-tire cover on your blog.

One question: what’s on the rubber stamp you got made? I find myself wanting one, even though I can’t think of a real reason to use one. Any suggestions for great ways to use them?

Hi Janine! I got a rubber stamp made of the “Nora Brown Design” block in the upper left of my site. I’m hoping to sort of print my own business cards with it. You could get your url, or even your logo!
