You are not alone

Turns out, everyone uses the internet, but hardly anyone knows what a browser is. I realized this a while ago (that’s why I wrote the post What is a Browser) but I didn’t realize the extent of the misconceptions. This video makes it humorously clear:

To clarify

• Google is not a browser
• Yahoo! is not a browser
• Search engines in general are not browsers
• Comcast or any other internet service provider is not a browser
• AOL’s browser is really Internet Exlorer
• Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Opera are browsers
• Internet Explorer is a browser but it sucks, don’t use it
